It is coming up to the first anniversary of selling our home to you and would like to thank you for taking a great weight from our shoulders.
We were thinking about trying to sell, with the intention of downsizing or going to an area where prices were a little lower, so that we could release some equity to pay some of the credit cards and some of the other debts that seem to creep up on you.
Our home had been on the market for some time (it had been over priced by the estate agents).
After contacting yourselves, the process of selling could not have been easier, within two weeks we had the money from the sale in the bank and were able to put our worries behind us.

Gateway Homes have provided a most satisfactory solution to my recent financial problems. I had lived in my present home for over twenty years as the owner, but due to difficulties in finding work, I had accumulated a sizable amount of debt and was fast running out of cash and credit.
Several advertisements had appeared in the local paper offering to purchase properties and rent them back to the seller. I contacted three of these companies and was most impressed by Gateway, whose professionalism and friendliness made me feel I had made the right decision in selling my home. Gateway also made the best offer of the three, especially considering that there were no fees to pay.
The process of selling the property and setting up the tenancy agreement was very smooth and took place gratifyingly quickly. As the first month's rent was deducted from the sale proceeds, I suffered no cash-flow problems. Also, the solicitors recommended by Gateway performed their role in the transaction very promptly and professionally.
The proceeds from the sale enabled me to pay off all my existing loans and to retain a sizeable cash sum. I was able to use this to make a number of long-outstanding and necessary purchases and to invest the remainder, generating some income each month.
The main thing is that I now feel secure in the home I've occupied for so long. The rent is very reasonable when compared with other private tenancies in the area and I have been left to enjoy my tenancy with no interference. I have also been given the freedom to use and enjoy the property almost as though I were still the owner.
I feel there is no stigma in following this route to financial security, and would be happy to recommend Gateway Homes to anyone considering selling their home with a view to staying on as a tenant.
